Enterprise Systems Technical Architect

I can manage the technical architecture for your new enterprise programme

I have a proven track record in a technical architect / technology lead role across the full lifetime of enterprise programmes. My broad experience across multiple business domains mean that I can quickly understand the context of your programme as well as the systems landscape that the technology elements being implemented fit into. I work with your existing enterprise architects to understand the solution building blocks already available within your organisation as well as work with them to the technology roadmap of your organisation and understand how your enteprise programme and the enterprise architecture roadmap can best support and enhance each other. I have experience implementing and integrating a wide variety of on-prem and cloud systems. Many of the skills required in this role are agnostic to the actual vendor solution chosen and I have successfully worked as the technical architect on programmes implementing systems that I have had no previous experience of.

Regardless of the system you are implementing there are likely to be integrations required with:

  • Identity Management platforms. I have great experience integrating with Identity Management platforms to support user account provisioning and [single sign-on] ( https://sainkleinpreviewwebsite.z16.web.core.windows.net/services/identity-management/single-sign-on/ ).
  • Office 365 I am familiar working with Microsoft Graph API to integrate with Office 365 and am able to extend functionality of your systems with low-code solutions built on the Microsoft Power Platform (Power Automate / Power BI / Power Apps).
  • Legacy on-pre applications I have designed and delivered many integrations between cloud SaaS systems and legacy on-prem systems and am familiar with the challenges that are often presented in these scenarios.

My experience designing modern cloud applications, as well as implementing low-code solutions means that I am able to balance and weigh the benefits between customising / extending your SaaS solutions - or extending at the periphery, be that with bespoke cloud solutions or low-code applications. My clients benefit because there is no need for a disconnect to exist between the (for example) ERP architect and the architect for your custom solutions. Depending on the scale of your implementation I may be able to cover all these needs, or if the workload still requires additional architecture resource, at least I am able to work with the other architecture resources and talk their language minimizing the opportunity for small misunderstandings to grow into significant functionality issues.
