Oracle Procurement Implementation

Over the course of 7 months I took over the lead of a development team of four consultants. We were responsible for the development of purchasing interfaces (PL/SQL) between Oracle 11i Purchasing and legacy inventory systems. During the system test phase, in order to meet the exacting standards of documentation demanded by the client, I developed an Excel based reporting solution to automate the production and formatting of test evidence. This significantly reduced the time required to complete a complex system test and was a major contributing factor towards reaching this particular milestone on schedule. Concurrently, I designed, developed and delivered a successful pilot using Oracle’s “Oracle Application Interconnect” (OAI) component of Oracle 9i Application Server to integrate inventory, warehouse and purchasing systems. I further developed existing Oracle Interconnect skills, acquired some Oracle Portal skills and acquired skills in installing and administering Oracle 9iAS Application Server.
