I was a member of the PwC team that worked with the Ordnance Survey in Southampton on one of the first implementations of Oracle CRM. Unfortunately for PwC part way through the implementation project a change in strategy at the OS resulted in the early termination of the project. During my time on the project:
- I was architect delivering designs for real-time integration between Oracle CRM and SAP FI/CO;
- I mentored junior consultants;
- I had ownership and was responsible for the enforcement of development standards.
Such a shame that the project finished early. I was working with a fantastic group of young consultants and we were all living near each in Southampton’s Ocean Village, going to the gym together in the morning etc. Probably the only time I really felt I was living the graduate consultant life as it had been promised up during the recruitment fairs back at University!
